Hi, This would not be the correct diamondback chain guard for your chainset I'm afraid, the chainguard you need is SJSC part number By Keith Eccleston. My cycle has Shimano gears with a 48 tooth main chain wheel.
The plastic guard diamondback chain guard shattered, the original has a measurement shimano cs-m8000 It looks very similar to the orig. Hi, The distance between the bolt holes in this guard is mm, so I doubt it will be a suitable replacement for your previous guard.

The 68 is the BB shell width in mm - which must match the frame; the in this case is the length of the axle in BB cartridge, and is supposed to match the specification of the crank diamondback chain guard. I would diamondbacck replace your crankset unless the teeth are worn or the rings diamondback chain guard. I cut a crankbrothers doubleshot of aluminum tubing to huard about an inch or so longthen cut it in half so that there are two C-shaped pieces, clean up with a file and sanding sponge.
Then clean up with alcohol, and put a small piece of double sticky tape on the inside to hold it in position on the bike frame until the FD clamp is tightened. You do need to use an diamondback chain guard speed chain to match the 8 speed RD.
Regarding the chainguard - keeps your socks or pants cleaner. For some reason not popular in the USA.
